On February 27 2014 we have the honor of having Nassim Bayat from American Sleep Centers speaking on "Sleep Apnea"
American Sleep Centers has been performing sleep diagnostics testing since
2004 and has the highest accreditation from the American Academy of Sleep for both home and in lab testing. They work with doctors and dentists in the education of Sleep Apnea and various therapies to reduce Sleep Apnea in patients. Over the recent years, Oral Appliance Therapy has become an acceptable therapy for Sleep Apnea. Nassim Bayat, an owner of American Sleep Centers, spends his time sharing his knowledge of Sleep Apnea and Oral Appliance Therapy with dentists throughout southern California. His discussion will be regarding applicable aspects of Sleep Apnea, diagnosing sleep apnea by the dentist and the dental staff, and will be focused specifically on the successful implementation of Oral Appliance Therapy in a dentist's practice

Dr. Ryan-Martin was previously Course Director of several restorative and operative Preclinical Courses and a full-time Assistant Professor of Clinical Dentistry at the University of Southern California. She received her Doctorate in Dentistry from USC and is currently a part-time volunteer and maintains a private practice in Fullerton, California.
On June 27, 2013 we have the honor of having Amir Esfandiari, DDS speaking on "Supragingival Dentistry"
Dr. Esfandiari received his DDS degree from the University of Southern California and continued his education at the Dawson Center, Continuum on Esthetic at USC. Currently, he is a Faculty-clinical associate professor at USC School of Dentistry. He is the president of OC Center for Advanced Cosmetic Dentistry, the Chair of Emergency care panel for OC Dental Society and on the peer review committee for California Dental Association. Dr. Esfandiari lectures throughout the world and has published numerous articles. He currently practices in Irvine, CA.

On March 28, 2013 we have the honor of having Todd Snyder speak on "The Newest dental materials".

Dr. Ferraro’s presentation will begin
with a review of three major classes of localized dental infections
that share many similarities and, oftentimes, only subtle
differences: the localized endodontic abscess; the localized
periodontal abscess, and the combined endodontic-periodontal abscess.
After describing each of the three localized infections, Dr. Ferraro
will discuss the critical importance of being able to understand and
identify their key differences in clinical settings, so that accurate
diagnoses may be made and appropriate treatment interventions may be
rendered. Incorporating true clinical cases in his discussion, Dr.
Ferraro will present clinical tips and methods for accurately
detecting and diagnosing an acute, localized abscess by class and
About the Doctor:
Dr. Stephen Ferraro grew up in Downey,
California. He attended Rio Hondo Elementary, Griffiths Middle, and
Warren High Schools. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree at
Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee in 1999, and he
obtained his Dental Degree from the University of Southern California
in 2003. Stephen went on to complete a two-year residency in
Endodontics at the University of Illinois-at Chicago, receiving his
specialty certificate in June 2005. Since entering private practice
in 2005, Dr. Ferraro has practiced Endodontics in Downey, Sherman
Oaks, Montebello, and Santa Monica. In December 2012, Dr. Ferraro
successfully completed a multistep, six-year process to attain Board
Certification in the specialty of Endodontics, and he is now
recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. Dr.
Ferraro currently maintains a full-time practice limited to
Endodontics in Downey, California. In his spare time, Steve enjoys
outdoor activities such as running, biking, and playing beach
